Tamara Marković , opera singer (mezzo), was born in Belgrade, Serbia.

After 20 years of solo career in more than 100 Opera performances she started teaching in 2012/2013 as a singing teacher and Head of the Vocal Department in Subotica Music school in Serbia.

Tamara Marković graduated in solo singing at Academy of Music in Novi Sad, Serbia and completed her postgraduate studies at FMU Belgrade as well as one - year – specialization course at the Academy of music in Bucharest, Romania with Prof. Maria Slatinaru – Nistor as a fellow of the Romanian State. She attended Master classes in Villecroze, France (1997 Prof. Vera Rozsa – Nordell), in Berlin, Germany ( 2005 Prof. Thomas Quasthoff „Hanns Eisler“) and in Philadelphia, USA (2011. Prof. Mikael Eliasen, Curtis Institute of music).

Tamara Marković won the 1st prize in Dubrovnik competition in 1987, in Herceg Novi in 1991 as well as „Melanija Bugarinović - Legat“ prize. In 1992. She became a member of the Association of Musical Artists of Serbia in Belgrade, Serbia.

Tamara Marković made her debut at the National Opera in Belgrade in 1989/1990. as Merzedes in Bize’s Carmen followed by title roles at the National Opera Belgrade, Novi Sad, Bucharest, Maribor, Magdeburg, Ljubljana.. Eboli/Don Carlo, Amneris/ Aida, Carmen – title role, Preziosilla/ La Forza del Destino, Olga/ Evgenij Onegin, Emilia/ Otello, Charlotte/ Werther, Santuzza/ Cavalleria Rusticana, Maddalena/ Rigoletto, Herodias / Salome, Fricka/ Die Walkure...

She featured as a soloist with George Enescu philharmonic orchestra in Bucharest ( “Das lied von der Erde”, Cristian Mandeal 1995, Bucharest), G. Mahler symphony nr.2 with philharmonic orchestra in Iasi, Romania, G. Mahler symphony nr.3 with George Enescu philharmonic orchestra in Bucharest ( Sergiu Commissiona ), G. Mahler symphony nr. 4 in Belgrade with philharmonic orchestra ( Anton Nanut)..concerts, oratorio soloist performing in Moscow,BEMUS in Belgrade,NOMUS in Novi Sad, ROMUS in Rovinj, Paris, Festspiele Berlin, New York Festival, Athens, Festival in Delphi, Karditsa , Festival Ljubljana, Skopje, Dubrovnik, Rijeka, Interfest in Bitolj, Japan – Tournée in 2003 with Opera Magdeburg as well as Argentina – touréne in 2004.

After numerous concerts with the Radio national orchestra of Belgrade, she recorded a CD „Portrait“ with works of Richard Strauss, Richard Wagner, Gustav Mahler, Gaetano Donizetti, Giuseppe Verdi released by PGP RTS in Belgrade in 2007.

Tamara Marković was honored to perform in NYC concert in 2011 at the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral as one of the “ New York Musicians from Serbia“.

In 2012 she started working as a solo singing teacher at Music school in Subotica and became a Head of the Vocal Department at Music school in Subotica.

Tamara Marković was Deputy director of the Music school in Subotica between 2015 – 2017.

She speaks Italian, German, English and Romanian language fluently and is an active organizer and participant in Cross – border IPA projects between Subotica, Serbia and Szeged, Hungary.

Tamara Marković was appointed in December 2022. as the general manager of the Bridge Events & Services company in Belgrade.

Tamara Marković was appointed in February 2024. as the artistic consilier at Kolarac Endowment in Belgrade.
